Coaching & Support

My unique brand of coaching starts with seeing your high school age teen or young adult as a whole person, not just their struggles and not just their assignments. I create connections with my clients that help them to trust me, take the pressure off their parent, and start to pave their way to success.

When students and young adults say:

I know what to do but can’t get started.

I feel stupid.

I graduated and don’t know what to do next.

I’m always behind.

I’m tired of arguing with my parents.

When parents say:

They get stressed out because they wait til the last minute.

I think they have ADHD.

I shouldn’t have to remind my teen to do their homework.

When I was their age, I couldn’t wait to move out of the house.

I’m tired of arguing with my kid.

I offer coaching and support with:

ADHD/Executive Function •Time Management • Effective Studying • Focus and Attention • Motivation • Strategic Reading • Personal Accountability • Asking for Help • Organization • Homework Systems • Writing and Research • Life Coaching • Gap Year Planning • Navigating the College System •Self-advocacy • “Adulting” • Finding Balance • Internships • Career Exploration

5 Reasons your teen/young adult isn’t doing their homework & what to do about it.

Getting homework done is one of the biggest frustration between parents and teens/young adults. It’s not because they’re lazy and it’s not because they’re incapable. Email me for a copy of this guide to find out what you can do about it right now

I am a life coach for people whose lives are just starting. I combine over 30 years as an educator with my empathetic and skilled coaching practice to support older teens and young adults at a critical time in their lives where it’s easy to feel ike they’re falling behind.

As a teacher in the classroom, I was known as a fun, kind, and creative teacher who enthusiastically shared her love of the social sciences and history. When I wasn’t in front of a chalkboard, I was connecting with students as individuals, helping them break through learning and motivation barriers, organize their busy lives, and find ways to hold themselves responsible and accountable. I am dedicated to helping high school students and young adults gain self-confidence and a feeling of success.

In addition to a Master's in Education, I am a Certified Coach specializing in young people with ADHD and Executive Function challenges. I don’t believe in laziness or the shame of procrastination. By asking questions, understanding my client’s learning style and mindset, and taking a comprehensive view of a client’s school and work background, I am able to uncover the reasons behind a lack of motivation. Those reasons aren’t always what the client thinks they are and they’re not always the same for each task. Making sense of those sources of hesitation and lack of motivation, I help my clients to create strategies and build valuable life skills to achieve their current and future goals.

Helping Teens and Young Adults

Build Strategies for Confidence and Success

Sometimes the difference between struggle and success is a gentle nudge, from someone who isn’t a parent or primary caretaker.

What sets me apart from other homework helpers and tutors:

My experience lands me directly in the center of a very unique Venn diagram, between the intersecting circles of academics and coaching.
